Don McFarland, owner of McFarland’s Llama Farm, brought four llamas and two alpacas to the school where students were taught how to lead them, how to treat them and how to take care of them. The llamas and alpacas were very tame and gentle, yet caution was still warned as the animals are known to spit if they get upset. In-class lessons also took place where they were taught all about fibers made from the wool and how to spin yarn from the wool.
